MCPP's Governing by Principle is a call to Mississippi elected officials, candidates, and citizens to put principle above politics and partisanship. The ideas relied upon by America's Founders to frame our government came long before there were Republicans and Democrats. The principles we have identified transcend partisan politics and even the hottest issues of the day.

We believe government is an important component of society, but it is not the answer to all of our problems. The ten principles presented in Governing by Principle will help elected officials navigate the confusing labyrinth of competing ideologies, interests, and agendas. We hope all who serve in government will embrace these principles, helping to restore the vision cast for our nation by our Founders. By returning to the principles that guided them, we can restore their vision, even as we apply it in modern ways to our current generation.

Governing by Principle: A Framework for Governing defines the ten principles in everyday language that can be used by candidates in speeches and by everyone in conversations with family, friends, or associates.

MCPP is offering the primer at no cost to those who wish to receive one. We are also offering them to teachers to be used in their classrooms at no cost to the students, teachers, or their schools. For those who are interested, click here to see contact information.
